Chicago Park District considering ban on smoking in city parks

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

You might want to smoke 'em if you got 'em especially if you spend a lot of time in Chicago city parks.

The Chicago Park District is considering a smoking ban.

It would mean no smoking in all city parks even during festivals like Lollapalooza and Pitchfork.

The city already has a smoking ban at restaurants, bars, beaches and within 15-feet of park field houses and playgrounds.

There's no word on a timetable yet but the park district's board of commissioners would have the final say.
