STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) -

ISIS militants took control of another military base over the weekend, this time in northeastern Syria. 150 government troops died along with 300 militants.

Demonstrators gathered once again in Sterling Heights Sunday to call on the US to do more to stop the terrorists.

Many members of the crowd have loved ones in Iraq where ISIS has been on a convert or kill campaign as it takes territory. Members of the terror group have displaced thousands of Iraqi Christians taking their property and homes. Countless innocent people have been murdered.

President Obama continued air strikes after ISIS beheaded American journalist James Foley. The State Department called for 300 more troops. Protestors hope this crisis can be resolved peacefully.
