CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A Villa Park man died Saturday after crashing his motorcycle Aug. 17 on the Kennedy Expressway.

Ronald Bermea, 31, was driving a motorcycle westbound when he lost control on the Ontario Street feeder ramp on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94), according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. The bike hit a concrete median barrier.

Bermea, of the 700 block of Cornell Avenue in Villa Park, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where was pronounced dead at 3:32 a.m. Saturday, the medical examiner's office said. His death was ruled an accident, resulting from a motorcycle hitting a fixed object, according to an autopsy performed Sunday.

Bermea was drunk at the time of the accident and was not wearing a helmet, state police said.
