Meet the fearless man behind viral Hancock footage

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

For some, it's more than 1,500 feet of nightmares - but for Danny Drozd, it's another day at the office.

Hailing from the South Loop, Danny Drozd has been a Chicago iron worker for 13 years. Last summer, he began the task of working on his first antennae – which just so happen to be located at the top of the Hancock.

Blessed with a unique view of our city, he wanted to share the sight – so filmed it. The Go Pro footage has now gone viral, having been viewed nearly 300,000 times.

While Danny would never call himself fearless, the height still isn't enough to justify climbing down for lunch – meaning he can spend up to 7 hours a day up there.

However, there's still more of Chicago's sky he'd like to touch.

Some people say the sky is the limit. But for Danny, it's a start.
