 On this edition we take a look at the new wave of oil drilling and hydraulic fracturing (fracking) in Metro Detroit.  Many in places like Shelby Township, Rochester Hills and Scio Township are upset to see wells in their neighborhoods.  Meanwhile, concerns about "fracking" have prompted the state to issue new regulations on the practice that has drastically increased America's production of natural gas.  Joining us to explore the issue is Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash and John Griffin, spokesman for the American Petroleum Institute.

Next, we talk to Wes Nakagiri, who's launched what some would call a rogue bid to unseat Lt. Governor Brian Calley.  Nakagiri is hoping delegates swing his way during the Michigan GOP convention on August 23rd.  If they do, it could be one of the biggest political upsets in state history, and Governor Snyder would be forced to run with him on the ballot in November.  Nakagiri joins us exclusively to share his reasons for running and how he would work with a Governor he doesn't necessarily agree with on every issue.
