Loopfest 2014 postponed

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Extreme rain and storm water has caused the Loopfest 2014 concert, with Journey and the Steve Miller Band at First Midwest Bank Amphitheater in Tinley Park, to be canceled Saturday night, according to a release from Live Nation.

The concert performance was also featuring Tower of Power. However, the rain received Saturday morning has caused flooding at both the facilities’ parking lot and surrounding streets.

The flooding in the parking lot prevents staff of the event from parking the expected amount of vehicles.

Tickets for the event will be honored for when its rescheduled, and that will be announced soon. Fans who want a refund can get them from the point of purchase as of Monday, 10 p.m.
