Lockdown lifted at Mount Sinai Hospital

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - After nearly four hours, a lockdown at Mount Sinai Hospital prompted by a threatening phone call has been lifted.

Officers responded to the hospital at 1500 S. Fairfield Ave. about 10:25 a.m. after someone made a phone calling threatening the hospital, according to police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

As of 2:25 p.m., the lockdown at Mount Sinai has been lifted, police confirmed, though no further details were released.

Police did not confirm reports that the caller threatened to come to the hospital with a gun.
