Pair Allegedly Break Into School And Steal Munchies

Posted: Updated:

Spring Hill (Fox 13)They weren't quite cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs and it certainly wasn't the breakfast of champions: Two young Hernando County men were arrested for allegedly breaking into an elementary school and stealing some cereal.

Logan Brown and Christopher Ramos both face felony burglary charges. Deputies say the pair decided to "go on an adventure" and break into the Challenger K-8 School in Spring Hill last Thursday.

Surveillance footage from the school showed two men, dressed in military-like garb, roaming the halls and peering into classrooms. Finally, the intruders steal Froot Loops cereal from a room that was open inside the school.

Detectives posted the surveillance images to the HCSO Facebook page and "within minutes," they say, tips began to pour in.

Brown, 18, and Ramos, 20, were arrested Tuesday.

Investigators say both men were high on marijuana during their adventure.
