Woman sexually assaulted, robbed in Englewood

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A 36-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and robbed on Thursday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The woman was in a parked vehicle near 71st Street and Racine Avenue between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. when a man entered her vehicle and displayed a handgun, according to an alert from Chicago Police. The man then forced her to drive to a nearby alley where he sexually assaulted and robbed her, police said.

The suspect is a black man, 25 to 26-years-of-age, about 5-foot-10, weighs 150-pounds, has brown eyes and a dark complexion, police said. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans at the time of the attack, police said.
