Highway 41, County Road 101 crossings back open

CHASKA, Minn. (KMSP) - Commuters in Chaska, Minn. can now travel over the Highway 41 bridge that crosses the Minnesota River after flooding forced its closure on June 23. Plus, the County Road 101 crossing in Chanhassen and Shakopee is expected to open by noon Monday. The Minnesota River had eroded shoulders up to 18 inches in some areas, but now all roads crossing the river have reopened.

BACK OPEN

-Highway 41 bridge in Chaska
-Stillwater Lift Bridge connecting Minnesota, Wisconsin
-County Road 101 crossing in Chanhassen, Shakopee

STILL CLOSED

-Scott County Road 9 crossing in Jordan will reopen by the end of the day Monday
-Between US 169 near Le Sueur and MN-19 in Henderson is closed
-Between MN-93 and US-169 near Henderson is closed

$32M IN FLOOD DAMAGE

Gov. Mark Dayton said initial damage estimates are coming in at $32 million after FEMA officials examined parts of Hennepin, Ramsey and Carver counties last week, which should qualify the state for federal disaster relief. FEMA officials will begin examining damages in Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chippewa, Dakota, Freeborn, Hennepin, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Pipestone, Ramsey, Scott, Sibley and Steele counties on Tuesday.
