HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The rapper Chief Keef was evicted Tuesday from the north suburban home he was renting, a lawyer representing the landlord told the Sun-Times.

A Lake County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman said officers conducted an eviction of the Highland Park home and a safety search for occupants of the residence at the home the rapper rented.

Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, had owed about four months of rent and had agreed to pay the landlord $11,300, the attorney, Robert Kahn said.

“He said he was going to pay him and he didn’t,” Kahn said.

A lawyer for the rapper did not respond to a request for comment.
