CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man robbed a U.S. Bank branch Monday afternoon in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The robbery at the bank at 11159 S. Kedzie Ave. happened about 12:35 p.m., FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said.

The suspect showed a threatening note to a teller and ran away with an unknown amount of cash, Hyde said. No weapon was involved and no one was hurt.

He is described as a black man about 6-feet tall, wearing a white T-shirt, long dark-colored faded shorts, a black baseball cap and black rimmed glasses, Hyde said.
