CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The body of a man pulled from Lake Michigan on Saturday may be that of a north suburban man who went missing more than two weeks ago.

A body was found in the water in the 2300 block of Campus Drive in Evanston about 6:10 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

Property recovered from the body indicates he may be Corey Janczak, 29, who went missing May 18, according to police. A formal identification has not yet been made.

Though an initial autopsy was pending results of an investigation, police said the cause of death was drowning.

In a missing person alert released days after Janczak’s disappearance, police said he suffered from depression and had made indications of wanting to harm himself.

Though the recovery happened during the annual Dillo Day festival on Northwestern’s campus, police said the incident is not related, and there is no indication of foul play.
