CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - There is a popular "eggs-hibit" taking place at the Glenview Kohl Children's Museum for the 13th straight year.

Featuring a special child-height egg incubator, hatchery unit and a pen for newborn chicks, the Eggs to Chicks exhibit offers an exciting educational opportunity for children.

Over the next couple of weeks, children will have the opportunity to watch more than 100 eggs grow to full cycle and hatch. With so many eggs in the incubator, will always be new chicks hatching any given week for the duration of the exhibit.

Sheridan Turner, President & CEO of the museum says children love seeing the babies take their first breath.

"They are fascinated, especially when they get to see a chick break out of the shell and get to understand the circle of life - especially how different a baby chick is from a human baby," she said.

As the chicks hatch, they will be transported to farms in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin to be used for egg production and species repopulation.

You can see the Eggs to Chicks exhibit at the Kohl Children's Museum until June 16.
