CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A run at the French Open for 18-year-old Taylor Townsend - the tennis phenomenon from Chicago's Englewood neighborhood - has ended.

Townsend lost her third round match Friday morning to Carla Suarez Novarro of spain in straight sets. Townsend lost her first two service games and was quickly down 4-love before she struck back winning two games. But that was all the Chicago teenager could do in the first set, losing 6-2. Townsend also lost the second set by an identical margin.
