Fosters needed to save cats from euthanization

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Dozens of cats at the city pound will be euthanized Wednesday if they do not find a foster home.

According to PAWS, the no-kill shelter in Chicago, the city pound is at capacity and is asking Chicagoans to help save the life of a cat in need. Anyone with a little space to share is asked to foster a cat.

Many of the cats are suffering from treatable, minor upper body respiratory infections. Therefore, the cats in need will need to be separated from any resident cats.

If you are able to save the life of an animal in need of a home, please consider becoming a foster. If you are already a PAWS foster, send them an email at foster@pawschicago.org with "URGENT PLEA" in the subject line.

If you would like to become a foster, please fill out a survey on the PAWS website. You will be contacted about the process immediately.
