CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A TCF Bank branch was robbed at gunpoint Thursday evening in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Two masked males entered the TCF Bank at 2301 N. Harlem Ave. about 5:30 p.m., pointed handguns at bank employees and customers, and stole an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

One robber went over the counter to access teller drawers and the bank’s vault, FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said.

The suspects then got into a gold-colored vehicle and drove away, police said. No injuries were reported.

The robbers are described as black males, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, and about 170 pounds, police said. They were wearing black hoodies, jeans and masks.

The FBI is investigating.
