No one injured after two-alarm fire in Lincoln Park

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

No one was injured after a two-alarm fire broke out at a Lincoln Park building late Saturday morning.

The blaze started about 11 a.m. at the three-story building in the 1800 block of North Fremont Street, which appeared to be newly constructed, said Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez.

He initially said water pressure issues caused the fire to be upgraded to a two-alarm, but about 1:20 p.m., Fire Media Affairs said that was not the cause.

The fire was reported under control a few minutes after noon, according to Fire Media Affairs.

No one was injured, and firefighters were still chasing hot spots in the building at 1:20 p.m., Fire Media Affairs said.
