EVANSTON, Ill. (Associated Press) -

A hair-cutting event to benefit advocates for missing children will be held Thursday in Evanston and Bloomingdale.

Pivot Point International Academy cosmetology students will participate in an annual "Cut-a-Thon." All proceeds go to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Among those offering haircuts will be Pivot Point alumnus Ivan Zoot. Zoot holds Guinness Book of Worlds Records marks for the fastest haircut, most haircuts in one hour and most in 24 hours, nonstop.

The events will be at Pivot Point academies in Evanston and Bloomingdale.

Local police will offer ink fingerprints of children.

Alicia Kozakiewicz - who survived abduction at age 13 - will speak with Pivot Point students and guests at the Evanston location early Thursday.
