Detroit Weather Authority Forecast: Storms Possible Wednesday Afternoon

Posted: Updated:

Detroit Weather Authority Alan Longstreet

A brief spotty shower is possible, but much of the morning should remain rain free. We'll have to keep our eyes on the potential for areas of dense fog to develop as the skies clear from west to east before sunrise.

Scattered storms develop early this afternoon bringing another round of soaking rains for some. Coverage should be lower than yesterday, so fewer see the storms and while you may encounter gusty winds or small hail, the threat for severe weather with todays round is much less than yesterday.

Although Thursday looks drier, it's tough to completely rule out a shower at this point. Overall, an active warm and humid pattern takes us into the weekend.

Today: Partly sunny. Areas of fog early. Scattered storms. Mainly afternoon. WSW 5-15 mph. High 81.

Tonight: Drying out early. W wind 5-10 mph. Low 66.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny. Chance showers/storms.
