Man missing from Hyde Park

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for a man who has been missing since Tuesday from the Hyde Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Parchia Tolbert, 35, was last seen Tuesday in the 600 block of East 52nd Street, Chicago Police said in a community alert.

Tolbert cannot talk but uses gestures to communicate, police said.

Tolbert is a 5-foot-9, 180-pound black man with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, police said.

He has a tattoo that reads “Parchia” on his right forearm and is missing his two front teeth, police said.

Tolbert was last seen wearing a black and red gym shoes, blue jeans and a white, long sleeve shirt that has a number on the front with blue and gold stripes down the sleeves, police said.
