Hot Doug's owner says favorite memory is the customers

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - It's been a Chicago hot dog hot spot for 13 years.

Standing at 3324 N. California Ave., its number one advertisement is the seemingly endless line wrapping around the block.

It serves between 700 and 800 dogs a day.

It's name is Hot Doug's, and on October 3 of this year, it is closing its doors forever.

Doug Sohn is the owner of Hot Doug's. And after more than a decade, he has his fare share of memories from behind the counter- and his favorite is the people.

As Doug's emporium encased meats fades to black, my only advice to you would be to get them while you can.

Because when those hot dogs are gone, they are never coming back. And October 3 will be here sooner than you think.
