Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) - The family of a young Detroit woman who was bound, burned and murdered came forward Friday, hoping to find her killer. Volunteers also plan to pass out flyers in the area where the victim was found.

Brittany Brown, 27, was missing for 30 days before her body was found in a vacant lot on the city's west side.

Those with the Marcus Garvey Movement, Rev. Malik Shabazz and Barry Ross, invite the public to join them at the vacant lot on Saturday, May 3, where she was found. The lot is on the 15,000 block of Kentucky Ave., near the intersection of Wyoming and Fenkell streets. They will be wearing all back and will meet at 3 p.m.

They will be going door-to-door to pass out flyers.

If you know anything about Brown's murder contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. A cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered. You will remain anonymous.
