Hawks fans feel hype for Friday's game

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The Blackhawks begin Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs Friday night at the United Center. Friday morning, fans were already feeling the hype for the game!

"I hope they win, I am excited about the game! It is going to be packed tonight," One Blackhawks fan told FOX 32'S Joanie Lum.

The area around the United Center is always an electrifying atmosphere at game time. And Friday morning, the neighborhood was already alive.

"Everyone is excited! Everyone knows that the Hawks are going to win, so it's just a great energy. It is awesome, especially after a win and everyone is driving and walking down the street and just screaming," fans at the Billy Goat Tavern said.

Fans were feeling confident about having a home ice advantage and a young team.

"Hot goalies win titles and we're a good team. They have fresh blood and they are looking good."

Another fan told FOX 32 News they think the Hawks and the Boston Bruins will make it to the final round.

Some Blackhawks fans say they even have special game day superstitions, like wearing a shirt from the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs inside out.

Tickets are still available for Friday night's match up against the Minnesota Wild. Standing room only tickets are available for about $100. However some ticket packages are going for as high as $10,000.

Officials are warning fans to make sure their tickets are legitimate before purchasing.

The Better Business Bureau warns fans not to pay in cash. If you pay by credit card, you can use the card to settle any disputes.
