Blackhawks: How much would you pay for a ticket?

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Blackhawks fever is heating up ahead of Friday night's big game but tickets are still available to see the Hawks face the Minnesota Wild.

Dave Bornack is ready to watch the transformation unfold.

“It's the most exciting thing in Chicago I think and you know the Bulls doing as well as they've been doing, they don't draw the same type of crowds or excitement that the Hawks do and us bringing home two titles in four years has a lot to do with that,” said Bornack.

And that means the hottest tickets in town just got hotter.

“People are very excited and we've got home ice advantage which is better for the consumers as far as us selling the tickets and we're selling them cheap because it's such a fast turn-around that we need to get rid of the tickets,” said Max Waisvisz, Gold Coast Tickets Owner.

But Blackhawks bargain shoppers - be warned.

“A lot of people look on Craigslist ads and what they find out is that tickets are counterfeit. They bring them into us and we look at the tickets and say, not good,” said Waisvisz.

Waisvisz is selling tickets to Friday night's game starting at 155 - that's thirty bucks below face value. For Hawks fans who plan to watch the big game on the big screen the options are endless.

“Just like anything on Madison Street - crazy, fun, good times,” said

Cristo Papas, Manager, Vincenzo's Pizzeria.

And Cristo Papas at Vincenzo's anticipates standing room only during the Hawks matchup. The silver lining? You'll likely score an easy reservation at fine dining spots including Blackbird - eager to take advantage of the game's later start time.

“We hope for as many tables early as possible. It looks like a great book tomorrow on Friday and Blackhawks games will always bring in extra customers to our bar here and we try to save as many seats as we possibly can for them,” said Rian Hill, General Manager of Blackbird Restaurant.

For Dave Bornack - he'll root for the Hawks, “Maybe West End or somewhere here in the West Loop.”
