CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to the capture of the “Wandering Bandit,” who has robbed at least four banks in three states, including the Chicago area and northwest Indiana.

The robber, dubbed the “Wandering Bandit” because of the distance between the heistsd, most recently robbed the Heartland Bank at 12101 Regency Square Pkwy. in northwest suburban Huntley on April 25, according to the FBI.

His string of robberies began on Feb. 24 at the Community Bank and Trust at 650 W. Wilmington Rd. in Peotone, according to the FBI. He is also believed to have robbed the DeMotte State Bank branch at 5650 Rte. 10 in Roselawn, Ind. banks on April 4; and a bank in Diamondhead, Miss., on April 10.

He is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s or early 30s with an olive skin tone, about 6 feet and 190 pounds, according to the FBI. He has worn a variety of hats, including a cowboy hat, knit hat and baseball cap; and has been seen driving a gray or silver late-model Honda Accord.

The suspect has not displayed a weapon during any of the robberies, though an FBI flier describes him as “armed and dangerous.”

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
