A phony flyer advertising summer jobs with the City has been circulating on social media, authorities said.
The flyer in question -- denounced Tuesday by the Department of Family and Support Services – advises interested parties to go to the James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St., on May 1 to apply.
“This is a fraudulent notice and should be completely ignored,” the department said in a statement.
The department added that the only way to apply for summer positions with the city is to use the website www.OneSummerChicago.org.
The application period is open until May 16.
