Man charged for 3 murders in Detroit

DETROIT (WJBK) - Gabriel Cooper of Muskegon Heights has been charged in connection with three homicides in Detroit.

On January 10, 2013, the body of a 22-year-old Candest Mills of Detroit was found in front of a home in the 1600 block of Collingwood in Detroit. She was discovered dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

In connection with this crime, Cooper with First Degree Premeditated Murder, Felony Murder, Larceny and Felony Firearm.

On November 26, 2012, the bodies of siblings Larae and Lavon Bowman were discovered fatally shot in their home in the 20200 block of Yacoma in Detroit. Larae died from multiple stab wounds, and her brother died from a gunshot wound to the head.

In connection with this crime, Cooper has been charged with First Degree Premeditated Murder, Felony Murder, Torture and Felony Firearm.

Cooper was arraigned via video on April 16. He is due in court again April 28.
