CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A Minnesota man has been charged with the murder of a man found shot to death in his Far South Side home nearly four years ago.

Jason Stephens, 27, was charged with first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Samuel Coleman on Aug. 1, 2010, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

Coleman was found dead in his home in the 12400 block of South Eggleston with a gunshot wound to his neck, authorities said.

Police did not provide a motive for the shooting.

Stephens, of the 900 block of North Picket Street in Bayport, Minn., was incarcerated in Minnesota on an unrelated charge, and has been extradited to Chicago, police said.

He is expected to appear in bond court Wednesday.
