Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit emergency manager Kevyn Orr spoke with the media Monday to go over his amended plan of adjustment to exit bankruptcy.

Last week, Orr filed the updated plan in federal court.

Orr says his new plan would reduce pensions for police and fire retirees by 6 percent, and other city workers by 26 percent.

He says ballots to vote on the current plan will be mailed out to city employees and retirees by May 1. They'll have to return their vote by June 30.

Orr says if police and fire retirees reject the plan their pensions will be cut by 14 percent. Other city employees' will be cut by 34 percent.
