Woman Gives Loving Dog A Second Chance

Posted: Updated:

It's a story of hope and resilience.

A Vancouver woman rescues a two-legged puppy.

He started out only able to walk with a specialized wheelchair.

But as you can see here, the adventurous pup is running around on his own just fine.

Amanda Geise put video of her dog on YouTube, where it's quickly gone viral.

Geise works for Panda Paws rescue in Vancouver.

She says she can't always keep every dog she helps rescue but she made an exception for the nine-month-old boxer duncan.

"He was in fact born with rear legs but he was born with a deformed pelvis and deformed back legs, and so the veterinarian told us we need to amputate those or let him go. So we decided to amputate and give him a chance. So now he's 9 months old, 6 months later, and doing great," says Geise.

Duncan isn't the only two-legged dog she's taken care of.

Amanda says she's rescued 10 two-legged dogs in the last year and all of them have gone to great homes.
