Surprise birth for Connecticut mom

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Connecticut woman, who didn't know she was pregnant, thought she was having a gall bladder attack but ended up delivering a nine pound baby boy instead.

Jennifer Scollin and Matthew Dillman are now the proud parents to Cole Dillman. He was born Saturday, March 29, 2014.

The little boy shocked his parents.

Scollin says for the past nine months, she had no idea she was pregnant. She says she didn't gain weight and continued her monthly cycles.

Scollin detected a problem though, the day Cole was born. She thought she was having gall bladder problems after experiencing sharp pains throughout the day, until her water broke.

The couple called the ambulance, but Cole couldn't wait any longer. He was born in an ambulance in their driveway!

"It was a blur. All I know it is I pushed twice and they were like. 'you have a baby boy'," Scollin said. "It's a fantastic feeling. It really is."

"I couldn't believe it. It's amazing. Thank God they're both all right, both healthy," said father Matthew Dillman.
