Ald. Thomas proposes bill to outlaw `upskirt` photos

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Alderman Latasha Thomas introduced an ordinance Wednesday that would ban revealing photos taken under women's skirts or down their shirts.

Thomas says smartphone cameras have made it easier than ever to sneak a picture. In her proposal on Wednesday, Thomas talked about a Massachusetts case where charges against a man were dropped because improper pictures he took were technically taken in public.

The ordinance would carry a $500 fine for any picture taken under a person's clothes without that person's permission.
