FBI seeks help identifying alleged child sexual predator

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The FBI is asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child.

Images of the man engaging in "sexually explicit activities" with a child were first recorded in November 2012 by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to a statement from the FBI.

The images released Wednesday show the man inside a residence with a blue sofa and a picture on a wall in the background.

The suspect appears to be a Caucasian male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline and wearing wire-framed glasses. In the photos, he is wearing a burgundy T-shirt with a shark logo.

However, there are no clues linking the man to any specific area of the United States, and his whereabouts are unknown, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (800) 225-5324 or submit a tip online.
