Continue the `Cosmos` conversation at the Adler Planetarium

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

If you're one of the millions of people who watched "Cosmos" right here on FOX 32 Sunday night, you might want to continue the conversation about inspired by the show: what lies beyond the stars.

The great thing about space is that it asks more questions than we can answer. It provides a never ending quest for knowledge and discovery - an infinite ocean of possibilities and potential.

As the series "Cosmos" begins to tap into that potential, the conversation doesn't end with the conclusion of each episode. It continues at the Adler Planetarium.

Adler astronomer Shane Larson is part of a team taking advantage of the new-found interest in what lies beyond the stars. He said the series' popularity allows him to finally talk about a topic with people who may not have wanted to discuss it before.

With 11 more weeks of Cosmos to enjoy, Larson anticipates more opportunities to teach. If you are one of those people who are just now starting to look up, the most important thing you can take from "Cosmos" is the importance of asking questions.

While questions are the steps on the journey to answers, the most important thing is to remember to stop from time to time and remember to look up. Whatever you do, just keep looking up.

After watching "Cosmos" on FOX 32 every Sunday at 8 p.m. (CST), head over to the Adler Planetarium every Monday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to learn more about life beyond the stars!
