CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A custom-made Les Paul guitar belonging to a musician who played the Chicago Theatre Friday night was stolen from the band's tour bus parked outside, the Sun-Times is reporting.

Heavy metal rocker Zakk Wylde was performing as part of the Experience Hendrix tour, a tribute featuring an all-star list of guitarists to the music of Jimi Hendrix, when the "Pelham Blue" guitar and a leather vest were stolen from the bus, according to Wylde's social media posts.

A Chicago Police Department spokesman confirmed the theft from the 100 block of North State Street.

"This Les Paul went missing last night in #Chicago if you know its whereabouts please message @ZakkWyldeBLS ASAP" was posted to the Jimi Hendrix Experience's Twitter account on Saturday.
