Bears sign DE Lamarr Houston

LAKEFOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with DE Lamarr Houstonon a five-year contract.

       The 6-3, 300-pound Houston has started 60 of 64 games played over four seasons(2010-13) with Oakland, collecting 226 tackles – including 16 sacks and 37tackles for losses – four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, five passbreak-ups and one interception.

       In 2013, Houston started all 16 games for the Raiders, recording career-highsin tackles (69), sacks (six) and forced fumbles (two) while adding 10 tacklesfor losses and a fumble recovery. His six sacks paced the Raiders last season.

       The 26-year old was selected by the Raiders in the second round (44thoverall) of the 2010 Draft out of the University of Texas and has appeared inall 16 games in each of his first four seasons. Over the last two seasons hehas 10 sacks and 23 tackles for losses.
