Affordable Care Act Enrollment Month: Where to sign up

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Mayor Mike Duggan has declared March "Affordable Care Act Enrollment Month" in Detroit. He's opening some Detroit firehouses and recreation centers for residents to sign up for health insurance.

Signup begins Monday, March 3 and is part of Duggan's efforts to get as many residents enrolled by the March 31 federal deadline.

The following firehouses will be open for enrollment from 9am to 3pm Mondays and Wednesdays:

  • 3737 E. Lafayette
  • 4700 W. Fort
  • 13939 Dexter
  • 2300 S. Fort
  • 16825 Trinity

Tuesdays through Thursdays, the Adams Butzel Family Center and Butzel Family Center will be open from 2-7 pm.

The Coleman Young Recreation Center will be open for signup from 2-7 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Signup will also be available from 11 am to 3 pm Mondays through Fridays at City Hall.
