Police found a woman's frozen body inside a vacant northwest Indiana home Wednesday morning, the Post-Tribune is reporting.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, was found on the floor of a gutted two-story building in the 1500 block of Connecticut Street in Gary, Ind.
Gary police officers arrived shortly before 8 a.m. and found the woman, who was wearing winter clothing, police said.
There were no immediate signs of foul play or trauma, a statement from the Lake County Coroner said. An autopsy will be performed Thursday.
Police issued no description. The coroner said the woman is white and appears to be middle-aged.
