HARVEY, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are questioning three people in connection with the shooting death of a northwest Indiana teenager Sunday night in south suburban Harvey.

Torshon Megoogin, 17, was shot in the 14900 block of South Main Street in Harvey about 9:40 p.m., according to Harvey police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Megoogin, of the 2200 block of Garnett Street in Gary, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 10:49 p.m., a representative for the medical examiner's office said.

An autopsy Monday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.

Harvey police spokeswoman Sandra Alvarado said Wednesday that investigators are questioning three "persons of interest," but did not release further details.

The shooting remains under investigation.
