A Chicago congressman said that he thinks Former Governor Rod Blagojevich should get out of prison early.
Congressman Danny Davis is working on a bill that would allow federal inmates to shave time off their sentences for good behavior. Davis said the former governor would qualify for early release.
Most state prison systems allow time off for good behavior, but the federal requirements are much stricter.
Davis said he wants more fairness in federal sentences, and he wants to show compassion to disabled and elderly inmates.
