FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring a fun-loving Gordon Setter named Chandler.
The 7-year-old came to PAWS from a crowded shelter in Oklahoma City shortly after the devastating tornadoes hit in May of 2013.
Chandler was diagnosed with heartworm, but thanks to PAWS Chicago veterinarians he is now recovered and in great shape.
He is a well-behaved, obedient dog who is house and crate-trained. Chandler is great around people, loves to be petted, is low-key, and is content to lie on a blanket next to you. He's also a big fan of tennis balls. He would do best in a house in the suburbs with a yard where he can be free to run and play.
Just like Chandler on "Friends," this fun-loving, loyal pup will always be "there for you."
You can meet Chandler and other animals in need of forever homes at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
