Police caution Logan Square residents after nine burglaries

With at least nine burglaries reported this winter, police are urging residents in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side to keep doors and windows locked.

According to a community alert from Chicago Police, at least one person has broken into homes through rear doors and stolen property in the burglaries dating back to late last year.

Police said the burglaries happened:

--in the 2600 block of North Drake Avenue at about 5 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2013;

--in the 2800 block of North Sawyer Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2013;

--in the 2600 block of North Richmond Street sometime between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Jan. 9;

--in the 2200 block of North Sawyer Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 19;

--in the 2900 block of West Belden Avenue between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 24;

--in the 2500 block of North Kimball Avenue between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Jan. 31;

--in the 3500 block of West Lyndale Street at about 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 7;

--in the 2700 block of North Mozart Street between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 7;

--in the 2700 block of North Drake Avenue at about 2 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Police do not have a description of any possible offenders.
