Storm could bring 3-6 inches of snow to SE Mich.

Another winter storm is heading to Michigan, with possible 6 inches of snow accumulating in parts of metro Detroit.

A Winter Weather Advisory went into effect at 4 p.m. Monday and lasts until 4 a.m. Tuesday. The FOX 2 Weather Authority Team says the snow will arrive mid to late afternoon and pick up in intensity this evening, before tapering off shortly after midnight. The period of heaviest snow will occur between 7 and 10 p.m. Snow could fall at a rate close to one inch per hour.

Snowfall totals look to range between 3 to 6 inches.

The snow could affect the Monday evening commute.
