(WJBK) -- The Winter Olympics are about to begin, but some journalists say Russia still isn't ready.

Chicago Tribune reporter Stacy St. Clair caused quite the buzz on Twitter Tuesday when she arrived at her Sochi hotel to find the water had been shut off. St. Clair says the front desk staff told her, "Do not use on your face because it contains something very dangerous."

Once the water was restored, it came out a brown color. "On the bright side, I now know what very dangerous face water looks like," St. Clair tweeted.

Journalists also documented rooms missing lightbulbs, TVs, curtains and even door knobs.

Yahoo! Sports columnist Dan Wetzel offered three bulbs for a single working door handle.

Writers are tagging their experiences with the hashtag #sochiproblems.

Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for Feb. 7.

The Trio Animal Foundation in Chicago has been busy with their fair share of animal abuse cases. Recently, workers say they retrieved a terribly matted and urine soaked dog from an open access shelter. According to the workers, the dog’s fur was so terribly groomed; they were unsure which side was the face at first.
