CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A man was robbed at knifepoint and then sexually assaulted early Tuesday while sitting on a bench at the CTA Red Line's North and Clybourn station in the Near North Side neighborhood.

The 24-year-old man was approached by a man, thought to be in his 30s, with a knife, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. The suspect then took the man to an ATM machine and forced him to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash, Zala said.

The suspect then took the man to an alley and sexually assaulted him, Zala added. The man went home and called police following the attack, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
