Police warn about string of burglaries in Humboldt Park, West Town

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries over the past month in the Humboldt Park and West Town communities.

The burglaries involved one or more suspects forcing open rear windows, entering homes and stealing property, according to a community alert issued by Area North detectives.

Burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

--Dec. 24 about noon in the 1400 block of North Talman Avenue;

--Dec. 28 between 10 a.m. and noon in the 3500 block of West Pierce Avenue;

--Jan. 7 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the 1800 block of North St. Louis Avenue;

--Jan. 8 about 7:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Kedzie Avenue;

--Jan. 9 about 5:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Wolcott Aveue;

--Jan. 11 about 12:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Talman Avenue;

--Jan. 16 about 2:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Talman Avenue;

--Jan. 22 between 9:15 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Albany Avenue;

--Jan. 22 between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Whipple Street.
