Police warn residents about Logan Square, Avondale burglaries

Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries over the past month in the Logan Square and Avondale neighborhoods on the Northwest Side.

The burglaries involved one or more suspects forcing open rear windows, entering homes and stealing property, according to a community alert issued by Area North detectives.

Burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

--Dec. 24 between 11 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of North Spaulding Avenue;

--Dec. 27 between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Fullerton Avenue;

--Dec. 29 about 10 p.m. in the 3100 block of North St. Louis Avenue;

--Dec. 30 between 8 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. in the 2800 block of North Christiana Avenue;

--Jan. 2 between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next day in the 2300 block of North Albany Avenue;

--Jan. 9 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:59 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Logan Boulevard;

--Jan. 13 between 2 p.m. and 2:59 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Belmont Avenue;

--Jan. 16 between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Albany Avenue;

--Jan. 19 between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Sawyer Avenue.
