CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
A man has been charged with misdemeanor DUI after allegedly crashing his vehicle in the West Town neighborhood early Thursday, injuring seven people.
Reginald Green, 29, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI and one count of failure to reduce speed, police said.
Green, of the 2900 block of North Orange Avenue, is scheduled to appear in court in March, police said.
About 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Green was driving eastbound in the 1500 block of West Chicago Avenue "at a high rate of speed" when his vehicle rear ended another car and caused a domino-effect crash, damaging two more cars, police said.
Seven people were transported to area hospitals, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.
Four people were in serious-to-critical condition, one person was listed as "stable" and two others were in good condition, Roccasalva said.
