Police: New Mexico student planned attack in advance

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police in New Mexico say the 12-year-old boy who opened fire in his school gym planned his attack in advance.

Two students were shot.

A boy's in critical condition Wednesday, and a girl who was shot in the shoulder is expected to be okay.

Police aren't saying when charges will be filed, or what the motive may have been.

Police say the boy had three rounds of ammunition in a shotgun he brought from home.

He apparently warned some students to get away before he opened fire.
